Seçil and Derya are two good friends. For 20 years they have been exchanging postcards, wherever they are, wherever they go. Seçil is an artist with a sociology background “hailing from Istanbul and currently based in Berlin.” Derya is an academic, with a background in architecture and "a life spent on the move, currently teaching, researching and living in Izmir.“ They are women, worker, partner, mother, wife, daughter, sister, divorcee, teacher, writer, researcher, cook, cleaner, life organizer, creator, dreamer. This is a video-story on the affective conversation between Seçil and Derya through postcards, which helps them decolonize their bodies, their lives, their work, their thinking. Aslı is a long-time ally and witnesses Seçil and Derya’s postal acts of “self decolonization.” She facilitates the discussion and helps them weave words, sounds and images. Mustafa is an audio-visual tailor. He’s the one editing the video.
