Unstern studies art history in a global context with a focus on America and Europe at the Free University of Berlin. She is particularly interested in contemporary art and photography, postcolonial issues, activist art, and the institutional absurdities of the art world.
She wrote her bachelor thesis on Savvy Contemporary’s Colonial Archive, which invites citizens to engage with racist and colonial objects in their environment.
