Freie Universität Berlin

Naomi Maaike Schmitz studied Art History and Social and Cultural Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin. Her current research explores the politics of health and well-being through affective spatialities and embodied practices of resistance. She is interested in how feminist, postcolonial, and affect-oriented perspectives can open up new ways of thinking across academic and artistic practice, particularly within the fields of psychological and phenomenological anthropology.
